DEPARTMENT OF THE FUTURE
I heard that Kurt Vonnegut, before he died, suggested that our Government form a “Department of The Future”. I immediately thought that we as a people have a dire need for this department, and I was so amazed that it hasn’t been formed yet. Please Mr. President, get this thing going, appoint some Hot Shits with reasonable egos, balance the Good and Bad of rapid technology, clean of the environmental mess caused by our elder knuckleheads, and get us back on a course that we can all look forward to.
The problem is that every time we hear some politician or political party speak about forward thinking, the opposition party goes out of it's way to block those efforts.
If we are to ever move forward and get out of the partisan BS that currently paralyzes our country, we need term limits to get rid of career politicians that no longer work for their constituents.
Once a politician becomes more concerned with longevity than the greater good of the country, we end up with the fiefdoms you see in Washington. Where one must protect his appointments and pad his wallet as opposed to working to get this country moving again!
